As such\, we want to create a space for our students to practice their skills\, ask questions\, receive feedback\, and refresh their knowledge. \nThese practical skills sessions are designed for those who want to keep up-to-date on their skills. Anyone is welcome to attend\, though it is highly recommended that attendees have some former wilderness medicine knowledge. These sessions will be 4 hours long\, though students are welcome to show up and leave whenever they choose. \nThe primary purpose of these sessions is to practice skills and improve. However\, lead instructor(s) will be present at each session and will be available to answer any questions students may have about WFA or WFR material. \nThese sessions do not result in a certificate. \nLocation:\nThese skill session will be held in Salt Lake City. Exact locations will be sent our prior to the session. \nSet-Up:\nOur practical skills sessions will be set up with stations. These stations will have prompts and materials laid out\, however\, attendees are welcome to select what they would like to practice. They are also welcome to bring their own gear with which to practice; it is helpful to practice with the gear you normally carry. Lead instructor(s) will walk about and provide feedback\, in addition to being available for questions. \nThe skills stations include: \n\nSplinting\nBandaging\nHypothermia Wrap\nCPR + Choking\nLitters and Carries\nEpinephrine Auto-Injector administration\n\nThe end of the session will consist of a couple of scenarios so students may practice the entire patient assessment system.
