Animal Bites and Stings

This online module is designed for outdoor professionals, enthusiasts, or for anyone interested in learning more about this topic. This course is NOT eligible for CME or FAWM.

Course Description:

Different wildlife all over the world cause a myriad of problems, many of which require unique solutions. In this module, you will learn common concerns, injury prevention, and wilderness treatment of animal bites and stings.

Objectives: 

The purpose of this module is to help you develop a process that will allow you to overcome obstacles and provide the patient(s) with the appropriate care.

Upon completion, students should be familiar with the general issues related to preventing and treating bites and stings from the following land creatures:

• Wild Animals
• Snakes
• Mosquitoes
• Spiders
• Ticks
• Hymenoptera
• Scorpions
